Ooh, that's pretty neat. I play a dragonborn fighter, with a githzerai monk and a changeling sorceress as my replacement characters. Not sure which version that is, sorry. I just can't play a psion or artificer DX.
Dragonborn (as a race) have been around since v4.0 from what I recall.
I'm kind of in an amusing position in the party because of a few things, including: - being relatively new to the party but not to the game; - gladly owning up to being forced to play as a kobold by a fellow player; and - being one of a few members of the party who speaks Draconic by default, with a side of Common and Dwarven when needed.
The best way I can sum it up is that he was vastly unprepared to fight undead. His backstory is that he, along with a handful of others, were the survivors of a goblin attack that killed off the rest of their tribe. Apparently the tribe that took them in failed to realize that they set up camp near a necromancer's base of operations in a city sewer so as far as the character knows, he's probably the only one left.
To date, the kobold's been more or less comic relief, often getting in over his head when offering assistance with something (especially when it's outside of his area of expertise). I do have plans for him to build the dungeonpunk versions of drones from Black Ops 2 though (his profession is that of a siege engineer, with mining and trapmaking experience).
